Latch Down Plug and Baffles
This unit consists of a Latch Down Device, made up on the bottom of either an Omega Plug or a Top Rubber Plug, and a threaded Latch Down Baffle. The Baffle is threaded to screw into a Collar. The center of the baffle is machined to accommodate the Latch Down Plug. The Latch Down Plug is equipped with (2) o-ring seals and a nylon slip. When the plug is pumped down following the cement slurry, it latches into the Latch Down Baffle. The slip locks the plug firmly in place and the o-rings hold pressure from either direction.

- Latch Down Plugs can be made up as an integral part of a Float Shoe, Float Collar or Automatic Fill Up Equipment.
- Omega Plugs with Latch Down Baffles are available in sizes 2 3/8″ to 3 1/2″.
- Regular Plugs with Latch Down Baffles are available in Sizes 2 3/8″ through 9 5/8
